Had been planned for Ben Lui and Beinn a Cleibh – not attempted
The following attended: Karen, Mahri, Andrea, Alan, Stephen, Dave, Gaye and Millie the dog.
There was a forecast for very heavy rain – at lower levels this turned out not to be the case until much later in the day. However, the river could not be crossed – although not in full spate it would not have been an easy crossing and could have been much fuller on the return. Alternative activities were: bacon rolls and a 6 km walk up and down a section of the West Highland Way.
Stephen viewed the rail bridge which was closed off at either side, with dense vegetation across on the other bank. He intends to email Mountain Scotland to register his disappointment that the crossing has been put out of action.
