Saddle mountain hostel
Attended: Dave, Mick, Wendy, Paul, Janice, Jim C, Jackie and Craig.
On the Friday Craig climbed Nevis via tourist route – it was a windy wet day.
Across the weekend Janice and Paul completed corbetts: Carn na Saobhaidhe, Buidhe Beinn and Beinn Loinne.
On the Saturday (great weather) Dave and Craig completed munros Spidean Mialach and Gleouraich. Jackie and Jim walked around Loch Oich. Wendy and Mick were in Glen Dessary for corbett Glas Bheinn. Mick commented on the new hydro stations which have resulted in easier pathways up the hill.
The hostel was highly recommended – very clean – had been updated – the kitchen could now happily accommodate a communal meal. Each room is allocated a shower and toilet. Lots of choice for walking in the area. Could well be added to the schedule again for next year.
